00:06.3 - 02:30.0 well um, culture means to me is that it is a tradition, it is a history, it is kind of a way of life, it is almost everything. Taking my family as an example, they give me a traditional culture that passed down from my ancestor, like the religion my family and I believe in, the language we use, and the way we get along with each other. But um my family’s culture really inspired me as being a moral person, always be grateful for everything and to everyone. Well, my culture is not only cultivated by my family but also related to the community. Well, I would say cultures build communities; but communities also bring out cultures. Like and it's like a mutual kind of thing yeah. In a community, like an educational environment, we will meet different people from different countries and cultures, and that really gives me a chance to perceive their different experiences. Like the way they dressed, the food they eat, the values they have. For me, learning about different cultures’ traditions can really fulfill my life, my experiences, and also broaden my horizon. Culture is a vital thing that we cannot lose. If we live without cultures someday, um there would be no society. We will probably lose the language, lose the tradition, lose the religion, and the way we think, we and we will turn out to be animals I'd say, and follow our basic instincts, and act like nonhuman. No culture! No society! We must live in a culture to be called human. Yeah so this is all for my video today, thanks for watching, see you then!
