Hello! Most of the parts that we're gonna need for the Cultus are back.

At least engine wise. So Ákos is now here to start assembling the motor.

I'll tell you what components we'll be using,

We have a standard head that's been overhauled, with new valve stem seals, etc,

We have a GTi block, that has been overbored by 0.5 mm, it now has a 74.5 mm bore,

This was done because of the pistons, because we are putting low compression pistons in the engine,

Then we got a block brace made to make sure we have no problem there.

Apart from that we'll have Maxpeedingrods connecting rods, King bearings, Cometic head gasket, ARP bolts...

And pretty much that's it, so now comes the assembly of the block!

We are about to put the engine into the Cultus, everything's mocked up where it should be,

However, previously it was done in a way that the MaxxECU got a signal from the crank as well,

We are using a different oil pump now so that won't work, that's why we are going back to the solution we use in the Justy as well,

We are going to take the signal from the distributor, but for that we need to modify it a little.

The information how to do that is available online on MaxxECUs website,

But Ákos has already marked it for us here.

- Can you see the marking?
- Yeah. I think it will be visible soon.

So the teeth that are marked, those need to be cut off and that's it.

- We'll take this little wheel out...
- Mmm-hmm, that's all, but it's not coming out, yeah that's it!

It is getting grinded, then goes back in and when we first start the engine, we'll have to program the ECU for this kind of trigger.

Let's take a look at a carVertical report of a Suzuki Swift that had been involved in an accident.

It was first registered in 2009 in France, and then it was listed for sale in Hungary in 2022.

The mileage is 181k kms (~113k miles).

And here it shows the damage that occured in 05.2021,

About a month has passed since we recorded the beginning of the video,

We had some problems with the pistons, they were the wrong size,

So we ordered a Wiseco kit from Raceshop,

They are forged as well, probably better quality too.

These fit nicely for us, so we used these after all to assemble the engine with.
